Turns out he's a member of a powerful trade organisation in England called the BPI ( British Phonographic Industry ). Someone should contact him ASAP and inform him of the situation. He would surely be sympathetic to UR's plight - and what's more he's got a very popular radio show! The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) Charter: The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) has been representing the interests of British record companies for over a quarter of a century since being formally incorporated in 1973 when its principal aim was to fight the growing problem of music piracy... The BPI is recognised as an influential trade body and an authoritativesource of industry information. In addition to producing the quarterly industry statistics and overseeing the certified awards, we promote the interests of our members through a wide range of activities including lobbying government, negotiating with other music industry bodies, organising the British stand at international trade fairs and taking action against copyright infringers. - BPI Now trade organisations are essentially gangs of ageing businessmen who group together to destroy any opposition to their 'busine$$e$'. E.g The American Medical Association (AMA) spends millions each year trying to fuck over 'alternative' medical practitioners or anyone who doesn't agree that taking drugs is the answer to treating disease - if people were healthy & knew how to heal themselves then the AMA chaps would be out of 'business' wouldn't they. Same story with these BPI fellows - if you have a look at their homepage you can see a few rant$ about MP3 technology and 'ownership' of music etc. I degress.. However, I think that if the UR/Jaguar situation is explained clearly to them (to Dick Griffiths especially) they would support UR. The same note-for-note bullshit could easierly be done to any of the artists they represent & theyshould see that it is a blatant, albeit sly, form of piracy which they claim to be strongly against (sure if only for the sake of their profit$ but it's the thought that counts - especially when you're in the public eye like they will be if Dick Griffiths/BMG doesn't nip this Jaguar rort in the bud ASAP ;) Well that's my effort for the cause for now. I think if handled correctly this could all be over soon.
